Michael Stalker is the founder of MCS Family Wealth Advisors and is the firm’s portfolio manager.
Michael provides clients holistic wealth-management advice, which includes economic analysis, financial and estate-planning recommendations, risk-management strategies, retirement planning, and consulting to family and nonfamily businesses.
Throughout his career, Michael has provided expert witness testimony on retirement plan matters, investment performance, suitability issues, and asset-allocation and compliance procedures.
Michael Stalker has been ranked among the top conservative investment managers by Money Manager Verified Ratings. The results were featured in Barron’s. He has been quoted on a variety of financial matters in publications such as Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, The Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and The Oregonian.
In 1988, Michael earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst®(CFA®). In 1998, he obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate. In 2007, he earned certificates in both Family Wealth Advising and Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute. He earned a Certificate in Financial Management for the Family Office from Pepperdine University in 2013.
His non-profit activities include or have included board, committee, or sponsorship service to the following organizations; the Family Enterprise Research Conference, Austin Family Business Program at Oregon State University, Center for Community Counseling, Eugene Opera, Bring, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, Committed Partners for Youth, Food for Lane County and the Family Firm Institute.
Michael has been married to his wife, Debbie, for 32 years and has two daughters and a son. Michael enjoys antique collecting, great food, various arts, working out, gardening, travel, and video gaming.
